Measuring Your Wrist

Measuring your wrist is important to insuring a good fit of your cuff. Each cuff is custom made and is sized to fit you just right.

It is important that you provide a good wrist measurement when ordering your cuff because a 1/4 of an inch can make a difference between a good fit and a loose fit.

How to measure your wrist

Use a tape measure and wrap it around your wrist, right about where your wrist bones are. If you dont have a tape measure you can wrap a thin piece of paper around your wrist, mark where they meet and then lay it flat and measure it against a ruler. It should be snug but not tight.

Send me the exact wrist measurement.

There is a difference between wrist measurement and the length of a cuff.

A 7 inch long cuff does not fit a size 7 wrist. So if you are measuring the length based on another fitted cuff you have then you be sure to indicate that in the “Custom” box during check out to ensure you receive a properly sized cuff. You can simply write “I measured a fitted cuff I own and it was __ inches long”.

Gift Cuff Measurements options

If you are buying a cuff for a gift and cant get a measurement at all I can also offer you a 2 snap option for 1.50 extra that will cover 2 sizes (example 2 snaps would cover a size 7 and a 7 1/2 so you have a better chance of getting it right.

It is certainly preferred that you somehow get a measurement if you can. Possibly you can measure another cuff the person wears and send me the length of the cuff.

IDEAS on how to get a wrist measurement for gift giving……

Be creative with how you ask for the information. Here are some suggestions from customers that have worked for other people. It is worth the extra effort to surprise someone with a cuff that fits perfectly.

1.) I tied a balloon string to my niece’s wrist, snugly but not too tightly, so she couldn’t lose it (she was 14…I played like I was just being goofy), and then later cut it off and kept it until I could measure the former loop.

2.) I think all my friends know that I have the tendency to ramble about odd stuff. When I need to it makes gathering information super easy. I can just start babbling about chipmunks or water slides or poisonous mushrooms and work my question in there somewhere and they’ll answer it without ever noticing anything. Never been caught yet.

3.) So, this girl at work said that I have ENORMOUS wrists. I hadn’t ever really thought about it before, but I guess I kind of do. Fat wrist syndrome. When I get to lunch I was looking at everyone’s wrists. So I tell the story and then go off on my rampage “Let me see yours…. see? You have little wrists, I can get my whole hand around around it. Can you get yours around mine? We need a measuring tape.” Then I went around the lunch table and everyone measured their wrists. “Huh, I guess my wrists aren’t that fat after all. I should have known that girl was crazy, she hoards staples and has a Twilight lunchbox. I’m going back tomorrow and telling her that she has fat earlobes.” And my surprise secret was kept.

4.) Tell them there’s a theory about the size of your wrist in corellation to intelligence and then compare wrist sizes
